OS X If I remember correctly, I think it had to do with the new hidden recovery partition they started using with OS X Basically, you get your OS X Once you're done, you can boot up and copy OS X You will not have the hidden recovery partition doing this. You can continue on with OS X I am assuming OS X Also, if I remember correctly, running any current version of OS X You will have to check this because its been a while since I looked at it. Hopefully to OS X I will try to update directly to OS X It will save a lot of time if it works.

Most Helpful Answer. Michael Rep: You had to turn to a third-party app to do so. You can use Disk Utility if you, say, bought a multi-bay drive chassis and have filled it with spare hard drive mechanisms you had sitting in storage. Or you already have a RAID array and need to reconfigure it.
Learn more about hardware RAIDs. This will erase any data that exists on the disks you want to use for the RAID. Back up that data if you want to save it.

Striped RAID 0: The next step is to select your storage devices. The app shows the disk, and underneath each disk is a list of the partitions on that device. When you take the space of a storage device and divide it during formatting, you are creating partitions. Click on the checkbox next to the disks you want to include in the RAID.
